Weight Tracker

2nd Month: 38 kgs (83.8 lbs)
3rd Month: 40 kgs (88.2 lbs)

OMG... I never realized that I've gained 5 lbs from my second month to my 3rd month... Need to start eating sensibly from this day on...

Oh no!!

When we were in Baguio with Erick's relatives... they told me that I need to gain 5pounds per month... Which is not a good news for me... 5 times 9 = 45 pounds...

My pre-pregnancy weight is 83 pounds so if I will pack the said number of pounds:
83+45 = 128 lbs total

128 lbs heavy! Me??? No way! I won't do it... Please! No!!!

Sorry baby... mommy can't do it... i believe that I don't need that amount of weight to make you healthy. But don't worry... I'll eat everything that will keep you healthy and avoid anything that may harm you. So starting today:

Goodbye chocolates (i will limit it to once a week or once every two weeks)
Goodbye potato chips
Goodbye cakes and ice creams (occasionally - during Birthday celebration)
Goodbye softdrinks (oops... I haven't been drinking softdrinks since i was in college)
Hello 8 glasses of water
Hello Anmum (Chocolate flavor)
Hello fruits (grapes, watermelon, papaya, etc...)
Hello vegetables
Hello folic acid
Hello cocoa butter lotion (anti-stretchmarks :-P)

What To Expect Now That I am Expecting

Erick and I are lucky couple because most of the married couples around us already have children and they give us advise on the things that we are expected to experience in this journey to parenthood.

One of Erick's colleague even lend us a book.. "What to expect when you're expecting..." which seems to be very helpful for me because whenever i feel something odd... i refer to that book to check whether what I was feeling was normal. So far, I've never felt anything that signifies something that is not good for our baby.

As I am writing this blog, I'm way over my first trimester... Currently in my third month actually and that first 3 months made me experience the following:

1) Food cravings: I craved for... dinuguan, ice cream, palabok, cake, pinakbet
actually, i was very inconsistent with my cravings... what first comes to my mind.. i should eat or else it will leave me feeling sad..
2) Extreme urge to urinate: this was one of the hardest part during the first trimester. I need to pee almost seven times before I get to sleep.
3) Increased sense of smell: also very hard for me because of the foul smell in our apartment due to the cat that has died in the ceiling. I feel like my sense of smell was like that of the bomb sniffing dog wherein I can smell something even if it's far away.
4) Super sleepy
5) Headaches
6) Easily tired
7) Forgetfulness
8) Feeling a bit depressed because I will be gaining weight soon...

So far that's all I can remember... It was a hard first 3 months but luckily, I have Erick with me to support me whenever I'm feeling down. He always finds a way to cheer me up on my depressed moment. Oh gosh, luck me! :-)

The Second Mark

I'm always on-time when it comes to my period but on the month of July 2009, I've been 3 days delayed and I don't feel the signs of my period coming anytime soon... Erick being so excited bought a pregnancy kit. From the instructions, a more accurate result is shown if you do the test in the morning (you're first pee)... So that I followed...

July 24, 2009... Friday morning... the result I got...

Googling for my estimated day of delivery from pregnancy calculator I'm due March 24, 2010!
